Dear Florida Traveler,
We are excited to announce another thrilling University of Florida alumni outdoor adventure! We return back to Idaho for our sixth year of adventures with Northwest Voyageurs. This year, we are headed back down the famous Snake River in Hells Canyon.
Hells Canyon combines the beauty and awe of towering canyon walls, vast meadows of wildflowers and wildlife with the thrill of running some of the biggest and best whitewater in the United States. We will spend time exploring the long and colorful history of the canyon, as well as uncovering traces of past inhabitants by hiking to ancient pictograph and petroglyph sites, historic cabins and homesteads. Class III and Class IV rapids highlight our float through the stunning scenery of America's deepest canyon. Evenings allow us time to unwind from the day’s excitement as we enjoy delicious gourmet meals and Idaho’s brilliant night sky. This adventure is appropriate for anyone seven years and older, and is ideal for beginners and seasoned rafters.
Hosting this adventure from the University of Florida is Dr. Michael Andreu. Dr. Andreu hosted our ‘08 multi-sport adventure in Idaho and is looking forward to spending a full week on the river in ‘09!
Our travel partner, Northwest Voyageurs, has over 27 years of experience running the highest quality outdoor adventures. They are available to answer any question you may have and can be reached at: (800) 727-9977.
We hope you will join us and other Florida Gators on this outstanding outdoor adventure. We recommend early reservations as space is very limited on this journey.
